I've always wanted to start a blog, and now I'm finally doing it.

Who am I? I'm Griselda — a wife, mom, daughter, sister, and sometimes a lost soul. But feeling lost led me here, to creating Sweetlikeg, a journey fueled by my search for purpose beyond my family roles.

Before starting my cookie business, I was always creative. Art and woodshop classes were my favorites in high school, and I dabbled in various hobbies like scrapbooking, quilting, and crocheting. 

In 2015, I discovered sugar cookie decorating, inspired by Holly from The Doughmestic Housewife. Determined to learn everything about it, I studied recipes and techniques from experts like Marian at Sweetopia and Anita’s Baking Sweet Hope on YouTube. I dreamed of turning this passion into a business, but fear held me back. I worried about failing, doing it wrong, or not being good enough, so I waited.

But in 2021, I decided I was done with fear, and Sweetlikeg came to life. By March of that year, I had years of practice behind me and started my cottage bakery. From making only a few dozen cookies a year, I quickly scaled up to several dozen per week.

Through this blog, I want to share more than just cookie tips and tricks. I want to share my journey, my growth, and my challenges, helping you not only become a better cookie decorator but also a successful business owner. This is a space for encouragement, learning, and connection.
